What is MFMO?
Founded in 2013, MFMO guides young people from Pathways, and other alternative education projects, to further success and achievements through practical help with finding employment or training, and gaining qualifications.
Since it was founded, over 1,000 young peoplehave been supported by the MFMO project, with many going on to further training and employment.
The project provides a mentoring support service for those who have previously been through alternative education projects, such as Extern’s Pathways Project , as well as ensuring that young service users have employability skills.
Referrals to the programme can be made from alternative education projects, statutory agencies, and organisations including social services, the PSNI or the Youth Justice Agency.
Additionally, individuals have the option to refer themselves.

Testimonials
Jess overcame past bullying experiences to thrive in college with support from the Moving Forward, Moving On project significantly improving life for herself and her family.
I was bullied at school, so when it came to moving on to college at first I rejected any help I was offered. I was referred to the Moving Forward, Moving On project and slowly I began to open up about my problems. I’m doing much better in my life now, and I love the course I’m on. I have a good, trusting relationship with my mentor - they really believed in me and have done so much to make life better for me and my family.
