Linden Services
Extern provides a range of programmes across the island of Ireland working with children and young people aged between 8 and 18. Our programmes range from early intervention and prevention, diversion through to working with children within the care system.
Linden Services provide an holistic approach to working with children and young people with challenging behaviours and with their families. This includes a short term residential assessment unit where children can be placed as an alternative to statutory care and receive a range of supports including education and individual and group activities. Up to six young people can be supported at any one time. The project is funded by the Northern Health and Social Care Trust and has been operational since 2001.
