Floating Support
When Extern started in 1978, its main purpose focused on addressing issues on homelessness. We continue to provide support to people who are affected by homelessness.
This team is part of Extern’s services for people who are affected by homelessness. Through funding from NIHE/Supporting People a small team provide a range of support to people who have been homeless and have found new accommodation. Support can include practical issues including furnishing an empty flat, reconnecting with services and money management through to specific direct support to enable people to retain their tenancies and avoid becoming homeless again.
