About the role

Extern’s Disability Respite Service (EDRS) Time Out Programme supports children and adults with disabilities whose home placements may be at risk of breakdown, or who require additional support to build independence and life skills.

As a Project Worker or Relief Worker, you will:

• Deliver person-centred respite care and skill-building programmes

• Support service users in areas like communication, behaviour management, and independent living

• Facilitate access to community activities including education, training, leisure, and social inclusion

• Work closely with families, statutory agencies, and community partners

This is a flexible, hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about supporting people with disabilities to live full and meaningful lives. You’ll be part of a dynamic, creative team making a real difference.

At MUST Hostel, we provide tailored support in a 20-bed facility for both males and females, focusing on a holistic approach to meet the unique needs of each service user. We are also a Probation Approved Hostel, collaborating with PBNI to supervise individuals under licence or other restrictions.

We’re looking for a dynamic and people-focused Recruitment and Volunteer Officerto help shape the future of Extern by delivering a consistent, welcoming, and streamlined recruitment experience for both staff and volunteers.

In this vital role, you will lead on coordinating and supporting recruitment and onboarding processes across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and Extern Group, ensuring we attract the right people with the right values to join our mission.

You’ll also play a key role in growing and developing our volunteer community—supporting the delivery of meaningful, high-impact volunteer activity that strengthens our reach and deepens our connection with local communities.

Working closely with HR and operational teams, you will help drive forward our People Planand contribute to the success of our organisational strategy—ensuring our people remain at the heart of everything we do.

About the role

Are you passionate about digital learning and employee wellbeing? We're looking for a Digital Learning and Engagement Advisorto join our People & Organisational Development team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our non-social work training programs, from strategic planning and design to development and delivery. A key part of your work will be creating engaging digital content. You'll also oversee all essential non-social work training and present updates to our Strategic Leadership Team.

Additionally, you'll chair our Wellbeing and Engagement Forum. You'll lead the committee in developing and implementing initiatives that promote health and wellbeing for everyone at Extern.
