Extern Ormeau Centre , a specialist emergency accommodation provider for women and men experiencing homelessness, is seeking 2 Resettlement Workersto join our dedicated team.

In this role, you will provide outcome-focused, practical, and compassionate supportto service users, helping them develop independent living skills, build social networks, and manage their finances. Working collaboratively with service users and partner agencies, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, successful transitions from supported accommodation to the community.

The Mentoring Support Serviceis dedicated to empowering care-experienced young peopleliving in foster care, residential settings, or kinship care. Our Mentoring Support Modelfocuses on three core areas:

  • Emotional Support:Building resilience, confidence, and self-belief.

  • Advice & Guidance:Helping young people make informed decisions about their lives.

  • Hand-Holding:Providing practical, hands-on support to overcome obstacles and achieve progress.


About the Role:
As a Mentoring Support Worker, you will bring this model to life, making a real difference in the lives of care-experienced young people. You will promote wellbeing, independence, healthy lifestyle choices, and support pathways into training and employment.

Your role may also involve working closely with carers and familiesto help young people build and expand their networks of support. This is a role for someone with resilience, adaptability, and an open mind, ready to navigate the challenges of supporting individuals with complex needs.

As a Linx Project Worker, you will support young people and familiesto improve wellbeing, independence, healthy choices, and training/employment opportunities. You will work with parents, carers, siblings, and multi-disciplinary partners to deliver positive outcomes.
