In the last year, Extern’s Alcohol Housing Support team received a total of 133 referrals, which surpassed the project’s yearly target of 100. Of these, 95 required intensive support for a range of specific issues.
Working closely with Probation Officers, staff provide support and supervision until appropriate, permanent accommodation has been identified and agreed.
Staff in both Innis, Dismas and MUST provide housing support and assist service users to access services and improve their lives with regard to independent living skills, finance, physical and mental health and substance abuse.
Referrals to this service are made via Probation Board for NI.
