In collaboration with social workers, our Short Stay Break Service serves as a responsive sanctuary for young individuals facing crises, offering a secure haven where they can introspect and feel a sense of worth. It provides a safe space where individuals can find respite, allowing them the opportunity to reflect and recharge.

Operating for over 30 years, the Extern Short Stay Break Service offers a structured break at our custom-built Roscor Youth Village or Kinahalla Youth Village, in Co Down, with a highly-experienced and trained staff team.

The Short Stay Break Service serves as a pivotal resource, granting social workers and caregivers the necessary time to identify stressors and establish connections to vital support networks.

Our dedicated staff are equipped with a diverse range of skill sets and possess a heightened sensitivity towards effective methods of support for children who have encountered trauma.

All referrals to our Short Break Stay Service are facilitated exclusively through social work departments, ensuring a streamlined process that prioritises the well-being and needs of the young individuals seeking our support.

Our focus remains unwaveringly on providing a safe haven and facilitating connections that aid in healing and growth during challenging times.
